Lagos-Ibadan road’ll be completed in 2021 – Julius Berger

Sagamu-Lagos end of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway project will be completed by 2021, the contractor, Julius Berger, has said. Operations Manager, Julius Berger, Mr Thamm Olaf, told Senate Committee on Works, led by its Chairman, Mr Kabiru Gaya, on Sunday, that the project, which was to be completed in 2017, was stalled due to paucity of funds and the recent expansion. Remains of slain Kaduna monarch buried

Late Agom Adara of Adara Chiefdom, Mr Maiwada Galadima in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State has been laid to rest at Kachia. It would be recalled that four persons including a policeman were killed along Kaduna/Kachia road by alleged abductors Friday October 19 before taking away the monarch, his wife and driver. Nigerian Army has redeployed some of its officers from Operation Lafiya Dole, Operation Delta Safe, and those that have over-stayed in the Operational Theater, as part of routine posting. At least 9 dead as fire incinerates N. California town

Airport security personnel to be armed soon - FG

Mr Hadi Sirika, Minister of State for Aviation, says Aviation Security (AVSEC) personnel of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) will start bearing arms within the next three months. Over one million Nigerians currently receiving AIDS treatment - NACA

National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) says about 1,090,233 people are receiving anti-retroviral drugs in Nigeria as at June this year. States’ IGR records astronomical leap - FIRS

Federal Inland Revenue Service says cumulative states’ Internally Generated Revenues have experienced an astronomical leap in recent years. Chairman of FIRS, Mr Babatunde Fowler, said this at Nigerian Governors’ Forum Annual National Peer Learning Event on Wednesday in Abuja.
