Three officers of the Kaduna police command sustained varying degrees of injuries when bandits attacked the Maraban Jos divisional armoury in Igabi LGA of the state. Mohammad Jalige, spokesperson of Kaduna state police command, confirmed the attack in a statement, on Saturday. Six residents of Tungan-Maje community in Gwagwalada area council of Abuja have been abducted. A resident, identified as Yahaya said the incident happened around 11:46 pm on Monday. The kidnappers, in their large numbers, were said to have invaded some houses at Anguwar Dabiri and Anguwar Sarki, within the metropolis. A medical doctor, Solomon Nidiamaka, working with General Hospital Ugwolawo, in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi state has been kidnapped by gunmen. Zamfara State Police Command has confirmed the killing of 13 cops, saying that it has intensified efforts to arrest the perpetrators of the attack. Two security operatives were reportedly killed, following an attack on Kundu community in Rafi LGA, Niger state. According to residents of the community, gunmen invaded the community on Saturday, but were repelled by a joint operation involving the military, police and local vigilantes. Gunmen abducted at least 60 people and killed one person in northwestern Nigeria after riding motorbikes into five villages and firing sporadically into the air, a police official and several residents said on Saturday.
