Gunmen kill two Civil Defence officers in Anambra

Gunmen have killed two officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps in Anambra State. While their rifles were taken away, their operational vehicle was set ablaze after a gun duel. Confirming the incident on Saturday, NSCDC Public Relations Officer in the state, Okadigbo Edwin, said the incident happened in Nneyi, Umueri in the Anambra East Local Government Area of the state. Bandits kill nine in fresh Zamfara attacks

At least nine persons were reported killed on Tuesday in attacks by armed bandits in Dansadau and Hanhan in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara state. Residents said seven of the victims were killed at a tea joint in Hanhan while two were gunned down in Dansadau, the main town in the local government area. Bill prescribing 15-year jail term for ransom payment passes second reading in Senate

Gunmen have abducted a judge at a Sharia Court in Bauren Zakat village in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State. Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested immediate past governor of Kwara, Abdulfatah Ahmed, for questioning. Residents flee town as gunmen kill 3 policemen in Delta

Gunmen suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) have killed three policemen during an attack on Nsukwa Police Divisional Headquarters, Aniocha South LGA, Delta State.
