Another Nigerian nabbed in U.S. for $800,000 payroll fraud

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested a Nigerian, Charles Onus, for his alleged involvement in diverting $800,000 into prepaid debit cards. The amount translates to about N320 million at the current official rate of N410 per dollar. This comes less than a month after Abidemi Rufai, an aide to Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, was arrested for fraud in the United States. Five killed as gunmen attack banks, police station in Osun towns

Some armed men yesterday struck in Ikire and Apomu, Irewole and Isokan local government areas of Osun State, killing five persons in Ikire after attacking two new generation banks and a police station. Gunmen invade Ibadan Housing Estate, deploy POS machines to rob residents of cash

Armed robbers numbering about 20 were said to have invaded Alaafia Estate at the Orogun area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, dispossessing residents of their money and other valuables. Herdsmen kill nine in Enugu community

No less than nine persons were reportedly killed by suspected herdsmen in Mgbuji- Ehamufu in Isi-Uzo local government of Enugu state during the weekend. INEC loses another office to arson in Imo

Another building belonging to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was on Sunday set ablaze in Imo State, Nigeria’s South-east. Parents and family members of the remaining kidnapped students and workers of the Greenfield University, Kaduna State, said they were forced to sell their property to raise ransom as the remaining victims regained freedom.
