Gunmen abduct medical doctor in Adamawa

Gunmen broke into a hospital in Yola, Adamawa State capital Monday evening, and abducted the owner. The victim, Saidu Bala, is the immediate past Medical Director of Specialist Hospital, Yola. Gunmen abduct two Imo monarchs, burn their palaces, vehicles

The onslaught on traditional rulers in the Southeast continued on Sunday with the abduction of two monarchs in Imo State. After whisking away the royal fathers, the gunmen also burnt their palaces and vehicles. The affected traditional rulers are Acho Ndukwe of Amagu Ihube and Paul Ogbu of Ihitte Ihube, both in the Okigwe Local Government Area of the state. Bandits kill pastor in Kaduna after collecting ransom

Dauda Bature, a pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Nariya, Igabi LGA of Kaduna state, has been killed by bandits. Bature was abducted on his farm on November 8. His abductors were said to have demanded N5 million ransom, and after negotiations with his family, his wife reportedly delivered an undisclosed amount of money to the bandits for his release. Nine worshippers killed as gunmen attack mosque in Niger state

Nine worshippers have been killed by gunmen in an attack on a mosque at Tungan Ba’are village in Mashegu LGA of Niger state. According to the Niger police command, six other people were injured in the attack that took place on Thursday. Monday-Bala Kuryas, commissioner of police in the state, said the worshippers were killed during morning prayer. Gunmen occupy highway, burn vehicles, kill 7 motorists in Zamfara

Bandits operating on the Shinkafi-Moriki-Kaura-Namoda Road in Zamfara State have killed no fewer than seven people. Residents of 1000 Housing Estate in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, woke up to an explosion Saturday morning. Final count shows 10 killed, 252 inmates escaped in Jos prison attack – Official

Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has confirmed that 10 persons were killed and 252 inmates escaped during the attack by gunmen on Sunday on the Jos Medium Security Custodial Centre.
