Gunmen have killed Abubakar Abdullahi, chairman of the Lere LGA chapter of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Kaduna. Speaking on Friday, Ibrahim Bayero, spokesman of MACBAN in Kaduna, said the gunmen invaded Abdullahi’s home in Lere LGA of Kaduna in the early hours of Friday. Ten soldiers have been reportedly killed in an ambush laid by suspected Boko Haram insurgents, sources revealed. The soldiers were said to be moving in a convoy from Monguno to Maiduguri, Borno state capital, on Thursday, when the insurgents attacked. Heavily armed gunmen raided a jail in Kogi state late on Sunday, blowing up the perimeter fence and freeing 266 inmates - almost everyone in the prison, authorities said. A soldier and a police officer were killed in the attack and two guards were missing, the interior ministry said. It was the second major jailbreak in Nigeria this year. An attack on Apiyejim-Kibori community in Zango-Kataf LGA of Kaduna state has left eleven people dead. The attack came less than 24 hours after the murder of Silas Yakubu Ali, a pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in the same community. Gunmen abduct four travelers in Ekiti

Gunmen on Monday abducted four passengers along the Ayetoro Ekiti–Otun Ekiti Road in Moba Local Government Area of Ekiti state. Hours after their abduction, some of the kidnapped travellers in Ondo State have been rescued by men of the State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun.
