Kidnappers are demanding a ransom of one million naira each to release around 80 children snatched from a boarding school in Kaduna state last month, according to a pastor involved in the negotiations for their release. Suspected armed herdsmen invaded Mgbuji community in Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State and killed eight people, injured others and kidnapped many, while farmlands were also destroyed. At least two people were killed when hoodlums blocked Gada-Biyu Highway in Jos, Plateau State capital, Tuesday night. Eighteen people, including a police officer, have been reportedly killed in attacks by bandits on five communities in Chawai chiefdom, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Police Service Commission (PSC) has suspended Abba Kyari, deputy commissioner of police, following US court documents linking him to Ramon Abbas, self-confessed international fraudster better known as Hushpuppi. Gunmen have reportedly killed seven persons and razed over 250 houses in some communities in Miango chiefdom of Bassa LGA of Plateau state. This was disclosed on Sunday by the Iregwe development association (IDA) in Jos, the Plateau capital.
