Entrepreneur laments police inaction over burglary of clothing stores in Kwara

Items worth over N10 million were reportedly carted away by suspected burglers on July 6, 2021 from a clothing and accessories store in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital. Police chief, six bandits killed in gun battle in Imo

A Nigerian local police chief and six bandits were shot dead during a clash in southeastern Imo State, police said on Tuesday, the latest incident in a multi-faceted insecurity crisis engulfing Africa’s most populous nation. 7 naval officers kidnapped In Edo

Seven officers of the Nigerian Navy have been abducted in Edo State. The security personnel were abducted while travelling to Delta from Kaduna. It was gathered that five of the Naval officers have been rescued by the police. Hoodlums reportedly killed one person while many others were wounded when they attacked Shoprite Mall on Ring Road, Ibadan, on Sunday night. Bandits detain man who took N30m ransom to them for abducted Niger state pupils

Bandits, who abducted 138 pupils of Salihu Tanko Islamiyya School, Tegina, in May in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger state, have seized a man sent to deliver N30 million as another installment of the ransom they demanded from the parents. Court sentences 10 men to prison for ship hijacking

A court in Lagos sentenced 10 men to 12 years in prison on Friday for kidnapping the crew of a Chinese-flagged merchant vessel last year, the navy said, a verdict that officials hope will help tackle piracy in the waters off Nigeria’s coast.
