Explosion rocks Maiduguri housing estate just as rocket lands in community near airport

Residents of 1000 Housing Estate in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, woke up to an explosion Saturday morning. The explosion believed to have been triggered by Boko Haram fighters sparked tension in the area. A rocket also landed at Gomari, a community about four kilometres from the airport located in the state capital. Bandits kill 4, kidnap 63 in attacks on Kaduna communities

Two persons were on Friday killed during an attack by bandits on Ungwan Gimbiya community, in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. In the last one year, 5,238 inmates have escaped from various prisons across Nigeria, according to a PREMIUM TIMES analysis. Final count shows 10 killed, 252 inmates escaped in Jos prison attack – Official

Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has confirmed that 10 persons were killed and 252 inmates escaped during the attack by gunmen on Sunday on the Jos Medium Security Custodial Centre. Gunmen kill two police officers, burn their bodies in Anambra

Police in Anambra state said two of their officers have been shot dead and their bodies burnt by their attackers. One officer is still missing, according to the police. Bandits kill 5, abduct 90 in Niger state communities
