Gunmen attacked the correctional facility in Jos, Plateau state capital, on Sunday. The gunmen invaded the facility around 5pm but security operatives were able to repel the attack. Armed bandits laying siege to some villages in Zagzaga community in Munya Local Government Area of Niger State have prevented the people from evacuating the bodies of five vigilantes they killed in the area. No fewer than 11 persons were reportedly killed on Friday night as Fulani herdsmen attack Ta’agbe village in Miango District of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. Bandits have reportedly chased residents out of Yan Buki village in Zurmi local government area of Zamfara State. Seven persons were also reportedly killed and others kidnapped during the attack on the village Thursday afternoon.
