24 killed in fresh bandit attack in Zamfara

Marauding bandits have killed at least 24 people, including the village head and three other traditional title holders, in an early Sunday morning attack in Ganar Kiyawa, a village in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State. Bandits from the Gando forest in Bukkuyum and Anka local government areas have been attacking residents since January. Some attacks on several villages in the two areas early this year left 200 people dead. Bandits kill five, kidnap 22 in Kaduna communities

Bandits have killed five and kidnapped four others in Dogon Dawa, Layin Mahuta and Tabanni, in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State. EFCC arrests ex-gov Obiano at Lagos airport

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday arrested former Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos. 63 members of local vigilante network killed in ambush by bandits in Kebbi

At least 63 vigilantes from five communities of Kebbi State have been confirmed dead after bandits ambushed them Sunday evening.
