Terrorists abduct pastor, 7 others during Sunday worship service in Niger state

Eight worshippers have been abducted by terrorists while attending a Church service at Salama Baptist Church in a village called Gidigori in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State. A source from the community said the incident occurred at about 10 am on Sunday, adding that the Pastor of the Church was among the abductee. Bandits storm wedding party, abduct bride, kill 8 guests in Niger state

Bandits have attacked 10 communities in Niger State, killed eight persons, abducted a bride and left several others injured. The gunmen, who were said to have numbered over 100, invaded the communities in the Lavun Local Government Area of the state. 20 mourners killed as gunmen invade burial ceremony in Anambra community

Armed men suspected to be members of a secret cult on Saturday invaded a burial ceremony in Ebenebe, Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State, killing 20 persons. Senior LG official, dad, village head, 17 others killed as terrorists raid communities in 3 Niger state LGs

At least 17 people, including a father and son, were killed when suspected bandits raided villages in Mashegu, Lavun and Wushishi Local Government Areas of Niger State. Evans, 2 others get life jail for kidnapping

A Lagos State High Court, Ikeja has convicted and sentenced notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukuwuememe Onwuamadike, otherwise known as Evans, to life imprisonment for kidnapping. Hakeem Oshodi of the Lagos State High Court found Evans guilty of a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and kidnapping of the Managing Director of Maydon Pharmaceuticals Limited, Donatus Dunu. Apart from Evans, two other members of his gang were also found guilty by the court for same offence. The two other members of his gang found guilty were Uche Amadi and Okwuchukwu Nwachukwu. Appeal Court affirms Farouk Lawan’s conviction

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has affirmed the conviction of a former lawmaker, Farouk Lawan, for receiving $500,000 bribe during a legislative probe into the fuel subsidy regime in 2012. But the decision, on Thursday, came as a narrow approval of Lawan’s conviction, as the court discharged and acquitted the former lawmaker on two of the offences he was earlier jailed for by the lower trial court in June last year. Gunmen attack four banks, kill 2 policemen in Edo

Gunmen on Thursday attacked four banks and a divisional police headquarters in Edo State, Nigeria’s Southsouth. Two police orderlies killed as gunmen attack Enugu commissioner

Bandits kill 18 in fresh attack on Zamfara village

At least, 18 people have been confirmed dead and several others injured after an attack by bandits in Kadaddaba in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
