Nine worshippers killed as gunmen attack mosque in Niger state

Nine worshippers have been killed by gunmen in an attack on a mosque at Tungan Ba’are village in Mashegu LGA of Niger state. According to the Niger police command, six other people were injured in the attack that took place on Thursday. Monday-Bala Kuryas, commissioner of police in the state, said the worshippers were killed during morning prayer. He said a primary school teacher was also abducted by the gunmen, adding that those killed were between the ages of 30 and 65. Bandits set fire to bus, kill 30 passengers in Sokoto

At least 30 passengers on a bus in Sokoto state were burnt to death when gunmen torched it on Tuesday, police and residents said, in yet another reminder of growing insecurity in Africa's most populous country. Gunmen occupy highway, burn vehicles, kill 7 motorists in Zamfara

Bandits operating on the Shinkafi-Moriki-Kaura-Namoda Road in Zamfara State have killed no fewer than seven people. Explosion rocks Maiduguri housing estate just as rocket lands in community near airport

Residents of 1000 Housing Estate in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, woke up to an explosion Saturday morning. The explosion believed to have been triggered by Boko Haram fighters sparked tension in the area. Final count shows 10 killed, 252 inmates escaped in Jos prison attack – Official

Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has confirmed that 10 persons were killed and 252 inmates escaped during the attack by gunmen on Sunday on the Jos Medium Security Custodial Centre. Gunmen kill two police officers, burn their bodies in Anambra

Police in Anambra state said two of their officers have been shot dead and their bodies burnt by their attackers. One officer is still missing, according to the police.
