Nigerian Air Force helicopter crashes in Enugu

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed crash landing of its helicopter on Thursday at its base in Enugu. A statement on Friday via NAF’s Twitter handle, said the incident occurred after a routine flight and that though the blades of the helicopter broke but there were no casualties. Nigeria, Republic of Benin and Niger have established a joint border patrol team comprising the Police, Customs, Immigration of the tripartite countries to recommend a date for reopening of the nation’s borders. Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Mr Isa Pantami, has ordered Nigerian Communication Commission to deactivate automatic voicemail on existing phone lines. Sixty-three years after the Oil Pipelines Act came into force, the country has continued to charge a meagre N50 for licences to operate pipeline networks worth $4.6 million.
