China warns of 'firm counter measures' after Trump signs U.S. legislation on Hong Kong

China’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday said it will take “firm counter measures” if the United States continues to interfere in Hong Kong. Cambridge University to return cockerel to Nigeria

A bronze cockerel at Cambridge University that had been looted in a British raid on what is now Nigeria will be repatriated. The Benin bronze, known as an "okukor", was bequeathed to Jesus College in 1930 by a former British Army officer. 1,200 fail Nigerian Law School exams

Nigerian Law School, on Tuesday, called to the Nigerian Bar a total of 4,458 candidates who were successful at the August 2019 Bar final examinations. Director-General of the school, Mr Isa Ciroma, in his address at the call to bar ceremony in Bwari, said that the figure comprised three candidates from the previous bar final examinations. He said that 5,689 students sat for the examinations out of which 4,455 came out successful, while three others were from the previous examination. Ex-gov demands payment of N10m monthly allowance from successor

A former governor of Zamfara State, Mr Abdulaziz Yari, has asked his successor, Mr Bello Matawalle, to pay his outstanding allowances and pension. Nigeria’s external reserves fell to $39.9 billion last week, the lowest in 22 months. FG abolishes ‘catchment area’ policy in university admission

Federal Government has abolished the policy of preference for catchment areas in admitting new students in Federal Universities. Nigeria’s GDP grew in third quarter 2019 – NBS

National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), says Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 2.28 per cent (year-on-year) in real terms in the third quarter of 2019. Debt Management Office (DMO) says that Nigerian’s total debt profile is N25.7 trillion.
