New law in Ekiti forbids expelling impregnated girls from school - Gov’s wife

The practice of expelling students who got impregnated while in school has been abolished in Ekiti State. This was emphasised by wife of Ekiti State Governor, Mrs Bisi Fayemi, on Tuesday while on an advocacy and women empowerment tour in the state. Buhari appoints ex-CBN dep gov as special adviser on Finance & Economy

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mrs Sarah Alade as Special Adviser to the President on Finance and the Economy. The office is domiciled in Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, a statement by presidential spokesperson, Mr Garba Shehu, said on Tuesday.
