Gunmen kill 2, kidnap 48 in Katsina villages

At least two people were reportedly killed and 48 others abducted in a series of attacks carried out by suspected bandits in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State. A community leader said the suspected bandits were in Daurawa village Friday night where they killed two and abducted five people. Gunmen, suspected to be bandits, have killed a man identified as Ahmodu Mohammed, said to be a chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kampala ward, Bosso local government area of Niger state. Several people are dead in northeast Nigeria after Boko Haram militants raided a mostly Christian village and burnt down a church on Christmas Eve. Gunmen kidnap 22 persons, burn police vehicle in Katsina, Kano

Gunmen, on Tuesday night, seized 21 persons, consisting of a community chief, from two villages in Batsari council area of Katsina State. Bandits kidnap village head, two wives, 14 others in Katsina

17 people, including village head of Kaigar Malami, were kidnapped Monday night when bandits attacked the village in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State. Nigeria Police say they have rescued at least 84 schoolchildren who were abducted on Saturday.
