Gunmen kill 2, kidnap 48 in Katsina villages

At least two people were reportedly killed and 48 others abducted in a series of attacks carried out by suspected bandits in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State. A community leader said the suspected bandits were in Daurawa village Friday night where they killed two and abducted five people. Another source confirmed that at around 7pm Saturday, the gunmen raided Garin Dodo village and abducted 32 people. “Two of the victims were able to escape while the remaining 30 are still in captivity,” the source said. Gunmen, suspected to be bandits, have killed a man identified as Ahmodu Mohammed, said to be a chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kampala ward, Bosso local government area of Niger state. Gunmen kill seven in Kaduna  fresh attack

In Kaduna State, the spate of renewed attacks, which started last week continued as gunmen attacked Gbaja in the Katarma District of Chikun Local Government Area and killed seven persons while four sustained varying degrees of injuries.
