Eni declared force majeure on exports of Nigerian Brass River crude oil following pipeline explosions in Bayelsa state, the company said on Tuesday. A source with direct knowledge of the matter said the notice of force majeure was dated Sunday. Eni said two pipelines were sabotaged with “explosive devices” between Friday and Saturday and that production would resume in full in one week. “Repair activity, oil spill recovery and clean-up is ongoing ... A court in Nigeria sentenced six foreign nationals, including Ukrainians, Pakistanis and a Ghanaian, to seven years in jail for stealing crude from pipelines in the southern oil-rich River state. Herdsmen invade Falae’s farm again and again

A former Minister of Finance, Olu Falae, has complained about fresh attacks by herdsmen on his farm in Akure, Ondo State capital. Falae, also a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, said the invaders destroyed and harvested crops worth millions of naira in his farm. Philip Shekwo, chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa state, has been found dead. Armed men abducted Shekwo from his residence in Lafia, the state capital, on Saturday night. 12 kidnapped police officers regain freedom

Nigerian police have announced the rescue of its 12 officers recently kidnapped along Katsina – Zamfara road. The force spokesperson, Frank Mba, made the announcement in a statement on Friday evening. He said two of the officers are currently receiving medical attention. The kidnap happened over 10 days ago.
