Court martial sentences soldier to death by firing squad

The 7th Division General Court Martial sitting in Maiduguri has sentenced a trooper, Azunna Mmadu-Abuchi, to death by firing squad for killing an officer, Babakaka Ngorgi, a lieutenant. Security operatives arrest 47 armed Fulani men in Oyo

Forty-seven Fulani men armed with guns and other weapons have been arrested in Igangan, Oyo State, by men of Operation Burst, which is a joint security team of soldiers and policemen. Gunmen invade police station, kill 3 officers in Ebonyi

Gunmen on Friday night attacked Onueke Police Station in Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, killing three police officers. Two others sustained bullet wounds in the attack. China condemned the former chairman of China Huarong Asset Management Co. to death on charges of taking bribes, one of the most severe sentences to stem from President Xi Jinping’s anti-corruption drive. Interpol traces €500,000 Covid-19 fraud to bank account in Nigeria

International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) has traced a €500,000 Covid-19 fraud to Nigeria. The organisation made this known in a statement on its website titled, ‘Unmasked: International Covid-19 fraud exposed’.
