Ekiti monarch dies five days after losing 15 residents in accident

Traditional ruler of Iworoko Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti, Mr Oluwafemi Adejana, is dead. The monarch died in the early hours of Wednesday, five days after losing 15 residents in an auto-crash which occurred in the town on Saturday. Adejana, who was in his 80s, died at an undisclosed hospital in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state capital. He had welcomed the state deputy governor, Mr Bisi Egbeyemi, on Sunday on a condolence visit to his palace. Buhari, Osinbajo get new 10-year international passport

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice Yemi Osinbajo have been presented with a new 10-year diplomatic passport by Nigeria Immigration service. The passports were presented by Minister of Interior, Mr Abdulrahman Dambazau, and Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Mr Mohammed Babandede. FRSC to begin enforcement of speed limit devices on private vehicles

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), on Tuesday, said it would soon begin enforcement of speed limit devices installation on private vehicles. FRSC introduced the use of speed limit device in 2016 to reduce incidents of accidents and loss of lives. However, the enforcement of compliance with the installation began on Feb. 1, 2017 with articulated trucks. Zimbabwe army deploys to disperse fuel protests, 13 injured
