#RevolutionNow: Sowore remains in custody as he’s unable to meet bail conditions

Convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Mr Omoyele Sowore and his co-defendant Mr Olawale Bakare charged with treasonable felony are yet to meet conditions attached to the bail granted them on October 4, 2019 by a Federal High Court in Abuja. Oxfam International says no fewer than 94,470,535 million people in Nigeria live below extreme poverty line, according to the latest World Poverty Clock. It’s now compulsory to have National Identity Number to get new SIM card - FG

Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has said that registration of new Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards will now require presentation of National Identity Number (NIN). NCC, which said the enforcement of the new rule takes effect soon, noted that the move became necessary following rising criminality in the country. Parents Teachers Association and Association of Abducted Dapchi Children have closed down Government Girls Science Technical College Dapchi, Yobe State, over fear of a renewed attack by Boko Haram insurgents.
