Southern Kaduna mayhem: Fulani are victims also – Miyetti Allah

Miyyati Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has alleged that conflicts in Atyap Chiefdom of Zangon Kataf Local Government area of Kaduna State, have so far led to the killing of 16 persons, mostly women and children, while over 300 houses belonging to the Fulani were reportedly burnt to ashes in different villages of the Chiefdom. Power outage as electricity generation dips

Power generation in Nigeria dropped below the 4,000 megawatts mark on Tuesday amid the Eid-el-Kabir celebration. The total generation in the country was 3,958.7MW as of 6am on Tuesday, down from 4,270.7MW on Monday, according to data obtained from Nigerian Electricity System Operator. On Monday, peak generation was 4,611MW, while the lowest generation was 3,732.1MW, NESO data showed. The total energy generated on Monday was 100,974.45MW, out of which 99,272.98MW was sent out. Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho, has been arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic. FG directs TV, radio stations not to provide ‘too many details’ in reporting terrorist, bandit attacks

National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has asked broadcast stations in Nigeria not to report details of attacks by bandits and insurgents. In a letter dated July 7 and signed by Francisca Aiyetan, director of broadcast monitoring, NBC directed radio and television stations not to “glamourise the nefarious activities of insurgents, bandits and kidnappers” in their reports. Katsina gets N5bn from Buhari as part-payment for cattle ranch projects

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved N6.25 billion for his home state, Katsina, to kickstart ranching.
