A video of some of the students kidnapped from a college in Kaduna emerged on Saturday, showing them cowering on a forest floor as armed captors hit them with sticks. Insurgents ambush military convoy, kill 15 soldiers, 4 others in Borno

Islamic State-aligned jihadists ambushed a military convoy, killing 15 soldiers and four militia fighters in the northeastern state of Borno, security sources said Saturday. Gunmen kill retired police chief’s wife in Benue

Eunice, wife of Ibe Aghanya, a retired deputy inspector-general of police, has been killed by unknown gunmen in Benue state. Aghanya served as commissioner of police in Benue, and later became DIG in charge of zone 2. The Benue police command confirmed that the assassination occurred on Saturday afternoon. Catherine Anene, Benue police public relations officer, said the victim was killed at her Makurdi residence, behind Kismet Hotel. Anene added that investigations into the incident is ongoing. Students flee as bandits kill 13 in Zamfara community

Bandits kidnap 30 in Niger state communities

No fewer than 30 villagers have been kidnapped in kutunku town in the Wushishi Local Government Area of Niger State. According to eyewitnesses, the incident took place at about 1.30a.m on Monday. Gunmen abduct infant, 7 others on Taraba highway

At least 10 gunmen mounted a roadblock near Chanchangi town, located along Takum-Wukari road on Monday evening and forced a commercial van conveying 10 passengers from Takum to Wukari town into the forest. 10 expatriates kidnapped in Gabon, released in Nigeria after $300,000 ransom paid
