Accidental bombing: Buhari cancels FEC meeting, sends team to Borno

President Muhammadu Buhari cancelled the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting earlier scheduled for Wednesday. Wike acquires 10 gunboats for Nigerian Navy

Islamist militant group Boko Haram has said it was behind Monday's twin suicide bombing at a university in north eastern Nigeria which killed two people. Isa Kaita College of Education, Dustinma in Katsina State said it dismissed six of its academic staff for gross misconduct. The College said it had also demoted two academic staff and cautioned one person for misconduct against the rules of the institution. Bombers at University of Maiduguri kill professor, 3 others

Three suicide bombers, including a child, exploded at dawn Monday at Nigeria's northeastern University of Maiduguri, killing a university professor and another child, witnesses and police said.
