Buhari, PDP clash over CJN Onnoghen’s confirmation

Dogara collected $600,000 from Ibori, Jibrin alleges

Suspended member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has accused the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, of collecting $600,000 from James Ibori. Jibrin, a former Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, claimed on Saturday that Ibori donated the money to Dogara’s campaign from prison in 2015 to support his bid to become the speaker. Magu not sacked, Presidency says

Contrary to reports, Mr Ibrahim Magu, has not been relieved of his appointment as Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the presidency has said. The Guardian newspaper quoted an unnamed source as saying Magu had been asked to vacate his seat by the Attorney General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami.
