Fayose prevents SSS from arresting popular preacher, Apostle Suleiman

At least 4 killed in trio of suicide attacks in Maiduguri

Police and witnesses say at least four people have been killed in three attacks by suicide bombers in Nigeria's northeastern city of Maiduguri. Borno state police commissioner Damian Chukwu says the first attack late Tuesday involved a male bomber who was shot dead by a military sniper after he was seen moving toward a security checkpoint. Then two teenage female suicide bombers attacked early Wednesday. Chukwu says the first was shot dead by soldiers and the second blew herself up after civilian self-defense fighters stopped her from moving toward a mosque. Senators give conditions for Magu’s confirmation

Senators may have set three conditions for Ibrahim Magu’s confirmation as Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) chairman, The Nation learnt yesterday. FG pays N72b counterpart fund for Lagos-Ibadan railway

The Federal Government has released N72 billion counterpart funding for the construction of Lagos-Ibadan modernisation railway project. The Presidency said yesterday that President Muhammadu Buhari and Acting President Yemi Osinbajo spoke to each other on telephone Sunday night.
