NYSC to post corps members to farms

Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brig. Gen. Suleiman Kazaure, said on Monday that the scheme would soon begin posting of corps members to farms. Kazaure said this in an interview with journalists during his official visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Sagamu, Ogun State. Funmi Olaitan, Ibadan The management of the University of Ibadan has shut down the institution and directed the students to vacate the campus on or before 6pm. National Body for Technical Education, NBTE, has approved the implementation of Open Distance and Flexible Learning, ODFL, for 25 out of 556 polytechnics under it. Professor Abubakar Momoh, prominent Nigerian civil society leader and director general of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Electoral Institute, has died. Momoh, who sat on the board of several nongovernmental organisations, died early Monday, his associates said. Obasanjo warns of looming youth anger

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo is worried about the anger and frustration of youths. He said if the youth’s anger is not well-managed, it could lead to an “explosion”. Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, Ikeja, was a shadow of itself on Sunday during the Sunday service as many members of the church did not show up.
