Ajimobi revives Ibadan Circular road project, 15 years after

Funmi Olaitan, Ibadan Fifteen years after the idea was conceived, Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State will on Friday flag off the construction of Ibadan Circular Road to enhance the socio-economic development of the ancient city. Death toll from London tower block fire rises to 12

At least 12 people died in the huge fire that engulfed a London tower block on Wednesday and the toll is likely to rise further, police said. Code of Conduct Tribunal discharges, acquits Saraki

Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has discharged Senate President Bukola Saraki, ruling that he had no case to answer in the 18-count charge of non-declaration of assets. The case was brought against Saraki him by the federal government, but Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar, on Wednesday upheld the no case submission filed by Saraki. Judges in Plateau commence indefinite strike

140 judges of the Sharia, Area and Customary Courts of Nigeria serving in Plateau State have commenced an indefinite strike over non-payment of dressing allowances owed them since 2009. Ethiopia launches Online visa for 39 countries

Ethiopia government has launched an Online Entry Visa Application and Issuance (E-Visa) for citizens of 39 countries. Ethiopian Airlines said that the policy was launched by Ethiopian Immigration and Nationality Affairs. Of the total, only citizens of South Africa are eligible from the African continent, while Kenya and Djibouti are exempted because their citizens do not need a visa to enter Ethiopia.
