Less than a week after the sack of commissioner for works and the resignation of his information counterpart, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers on Saturday announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council. Authorities of University of Ibadan on Friday announced July 2 for the re-opening of the institution for normal academic activities. Supreme Court has sacked Abubakar Danladi from the Senate. Mr. Danladi represented Taraba North in the Senate. The apex court also ordered him to refund all salaries and allowances earned in the Senate within 90 days. Supreme Court has sacked Herman Hembe from the House of Representatives. Mr. Hembe, who represents Vandikwa/ Konshisha constituency of Benue State was not the valid candidate of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress, the court ruled.
