Federal Secretariat fire: No serious damage - Health Ministry

The fire that engulfed the Federal Secretariat on Saturday did not cause any substantial damage, Ministry of Health, which was affected, said in a statement. The ministry said after assessing the outbreak, it was clear that there was no damage to any government property. Anambra guber poll: Police dismiss IPOB threat

Police in Anambra on Saturday said no person or group could stop the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra. Akeredolu to spend N795 million on gifts, donations, guests in 2017

Ondo State government has earmarked a total of N795 million for gift items during festivals and children’s party, as well as hosting of state guests during special events. The amount also covers donations to unspecified beneficiaries. The figures were contained in the budget details passed by Ondo State House of Assembly on Monday, June 19. National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE) has issued a one-week ultimatum to Director-General of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to cause the release of promotion letters of all members of staff who passed the last promotion examination or face industrial action. United Kingdom on Thursday deported 28 Nigerians for committing immigration-related offences in the country. The Nigerians were sent back home barely 48 hours after 23 Nigerians were deported from Spain and five days after another batch of 34 were jointly deported by the governments of Switzerland, Germany, Iceland, Austria, Belgium and Hungary.
