Boko Haram executes five aid workers

Suspected members of the extremist Boko Haram sect have shot dead five persons believed to be humanitarian workers. The terrorist group publicized the development via a video it published on social media Wednesday. Twenty-four hours after 21 youths were shot dead at a wedding in Kukum Daji Village of Kaura Council, Kaduna State, gunmen invaded Gora Gan village in Zango-Kataf Council of the state killing the village head, a six-year-old boy and nine others. Many other villagers sustained injuries while running for dear lives. 16 kidnapped in fresh Niger bandit attacks

No fewer than 16 persons have been kidnapped in fresh bandit attacks in Niger. The incident occurred in Magani and Tungan-Bako communities of Rafi Local Government area of the state at around 11 am on Monday. Eight villagers were kidnapped at Magami community while six were abducted at Tungan Bako. The kidnappers stormed the communities, riding on motorcycles and shooting sporadically. Gunmen, suspected to be herdsmen, on Sunday, invaded Kukum-Daji village, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing 24 people. The bandits were said to have stormed the community at about 10pm when the villagers, mainly young people, were still celebrating a wedding conducted earlier in the day. A Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced a former Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Executive Director (ED), Mr Ezekiel Agaba, to seven years imprisonment for laundering N1,541,408,666. Mr Ibrahim Buba convicted Agaba of seven counts of conversion and criminal breach of trust filed against him by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
