Buhari raises evacuation committee for Nigerians trapped in Libya

President Muhammadu Buhari has set up a 17-person fact-finding mission to bring back Nigerians trapped in Libya. North Korea missile developers hit by US sanctions

US has placed sanctions on two North Korean officials it says have led the development of nuclear missiles. US treasury named the two men as Kim Jong-sik and Ri Pyong-chol, and said both were "key leaders" of North Korea's ballistic missile programme. Buhari paid Boko Haram N12.6m for release of each Chibok girl - Report

The Federal Government paid €3m (N1.3 billion) for the release of some Chibok schoolgirls who were in Boko Haram custody, according to Wall Street Journal. In 2014, Boko Haram insurgents kidnapped 276 girls from Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok in Borno state. Of the 276, 163 are now free: 57 fled in the early days after their abduction, three escaped later, and a Swiss-coached mediation secured 103.
