Lagos State Government on Saturday announced a ban on the operations of cart pushers and wheelbarrow operators, saying their activities are inimical to the environmental cleanliness of the state. Ikpeazu rejects cattle colony in Abia State

Abia State Governor, Mr Okezie Ikpeazu, has rejected plans by the federal government to establish "cattle colonies" for Fulani Herdsmen and their cows in Abia State. An explosion ruptured a major Nigerian gas pipeline on Thursday, the state oil firm said in a statement, days after the same line was repaired following damage from a fire that shut it down earlier this month. Escarvos-Lagos Pipeline was hit by an explosion along Egbokodo-Omadino in the Warri region of Delta state, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said.
