Dana Air plane hits fence at Abuja airport

Less than 24 hours after a chartered aircraft lost its tyres and landing gear at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, another plane, a commercial aircraft belonging to Dana Air, hit a fence at the facility with its left wing on Friday. It was gathered that Dana flight, with registration number 5N-DEV from Port Harcourt, brushed the fence while trying to park after it landed at the NAIA. Nigeria will protest to the United States over conditions imposed on its planned $494 million (£345.6 million) purchase of 12 A-29 Super Tucano fighter planes, Defence Minister Mansur Dan Ali said on Thursday. Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGC) on Thursday accused Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) of short-changing the country in revenue remittances to the federation account.
