Police make another raid on Abuja clubs, arrest 70 women

About two weeks after police officers arrested 30 women at different night clubs in Abuja, another 70 women have been arrested. The latest arrests were done on Saturday night and culprits were taken to and detained at a police station, a witness said. Mr Martin Obono, a lawyer and activist, said he witnessed when the women were brought to a police station in Utako, Abuja on Saturday night. He said some of the women were accused of prostitution. Zamfara bandits relocate to Osun - Gov

Osun State Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, on Friday said security report made available to him revealed that some bandits displaced in Zamfara State had moved to Osun State. FEC approves N52bn for installation of e-border tech

Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday in Abuja approved N52 billion for provision of electronic devices at the country’s borders. Police reduce working hours for personnel to stem extra-judicial killings

Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu, has directed that policemen across the country work eight hours daily to curtail work-related stress to reduce the misuse of firearms and extra judicial killings.
