Police killing: DHQ orders Taraba battalion to produce freed kidnap kingpin

Defence Headquarters has ordered 93 Battalion of Nigerian Army in Takum, Taraba State, to produce the fleeing kidnap kingpin, Mr Hamisu Wadume, as evidence that its soldiers are not culpable in his escape after three policemen and a civilian were killed at a checkpoint in Ibi, last Tuesday. Death toll among Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi rises to 9 - NAHCON

Number of Nigerian pilgrims that died while performing 2019 Hajj in Saudi Arabia has risen to nine, Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Mr Ibrahim Kana, has announced. Nigerian Financial Intelligent Unit said on Sunday that Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees had reported state governors who had been stealing local governments’ funds. Fighter jets destroy terrorist command centre in Borno, kill scores

Three fighter jets of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Saturday pounded a terrorist command and control centre at Dusula, Borno State. FG speaks after Congolese govt ejected Nigerian ambassador from residence

Congolese security operatives on Thursday brushed aside diplomatic immunity usually enjoyed by representatives of foreign governments to eject Nigerian Ambassador to Congo, Mr Ibim Charles, from his official residence. Revenue formula review: Govs plot to increase allocation to at least 40%

Ahead of review of the revenue sharing formula scheduled to start on Thursday, there are strong indications that state governors may demand 42 per cent of the federal allocation as against the 26.72 per cent they currently get. Kaduna-Abuja road reopens after hours of blockade

Kaduna-Abuja highway is now open for travellers who were held in a gridlock from the early hours of Friday. The road was locked down for more than six hours with thousands of travellers stranded.
