Academic Staff Union of Universities on Friday said the “forced enrolment of university lecturers” in the Integrated Payment and Personnel Information System platform by the Federal Government has resulted in the sacking of contract scholars across higher institutions. At least 269 Nigerians stranded in India due to the coronavirus pandemic have returned home. It was gathered that 103 evacuees arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos while 166 citizens landed at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja. Osun State Government on Saturday announced the death of Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor on General Administration, Mr Jare Adebisi. The late Adebisi, a lawyer, had served both as Assistant Chief of Staff and Special Adviser in the Governor’s Office, in the previous administration, and was pursuing his doctorate programme in Law before his death.
