Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) says last weekend’s conflict at Shasha Market in Ibadan was not a tribal or ethnic conflict. Saleh Mamman, minister of power, says federal government spent over N50 billion monthly on subsidising electricity so as not to take energy away from the reach of the common man. Lagos airport closed after landing incident

Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced a temporary closure of Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos, runway, after a landing incident. FAAN’s general manager, corporate affairs, Henrietta Yakubu, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday. According to the statement, the closure was due to a landing incident involving a Boeing 737 Azman Air aircraft with registration 5N SYS, and flight number ZQ2325.
