Mrs Chioma Nwosu, a judge at Benin Division of Court of Appeal, was kidnapped on Wednesday. A police officer was killed during the incident along Benin-Agbor Highway, police said. The judge was abducted on Wednesday morning while heading out for an assignment. A judge of Federal High Court, Akure, Ondo State, Mr Abdul Dogo, was kidnapped on Tuesday evening by gunmen. Ms Ijeoma Ojukwu of Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday reviewed the bail conditions earlier granted to publisher of Sahara Reporters, Mr Omoyele Sowore. The court on October 4 granted bail of N100 million to Sowore and and his co-accused, Mr Olawale Bakare, N50 million. Ojukwu said Sowore should produce two sureties in like sum.
