Buhari inaugurates APC Consultative Committee, names Osinbajo chairman

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday inaugurated a Tripartite Consultative Committee of Executive, Legislature and leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the State House, Abuja. He named Vice president Yemi Osinbajo as chairman of the committee. Ondo former SSG makes u-turn, returns to Akeredolu’s camp

Former Secretary to Ondo State Government, Mr Ifedayo Abegunde has made a u-turn on his political stand, as he reunites with the state governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu. Russian opposition figure, Mr Alexei Navalny is unconscious in hospital suffering from suspected poisoning, his spokeswoman has said. Tribunal nullifies Beyelsa gov election, orders fresh poll

Bayelsa Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja on Monday nullified the election of Governor Duoye Diri. The Mohammed Sirajo-led three-man panel, ruled that the election was unlawful due to the exclusion of Advanced Nigeria Democratic Party and its candidate, Mr King George, from the November 16, 2019 governorship election. Bayelsa Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja has dismissed petition by candidate of Alliance for Democracy (AD), Mr Onwei Tongo, challenging election of Governor Duoye Diri and his deputy, Mr Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo. A three-man panel of judges on Saturday held that the petitioner failed to prove the allegation of certificate falsification against Ewhrudjakpo beyond a reasonable doubt.
