Veteran actor, Olumide Bakare is dead. According to his personal assistant, Bakare died in the early hours of Saturday. Actor Saidi Balogun confirmed it in a tweet on his twitter handle, @saidibalogun. He said the veteran actor was gone too soon. "OLUMIDE BAKARE chief KoKo of Oluwa lambe house. Gone too soon", @saidibalogun said. According to reports, he died on his way to the hospital. Buhari appoints new boards for federal polytechnics, colleges of education

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reconstitution of the governing boards of the 21 federal colleges of education in the country. Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, made this known in a statement on Friday in Abuja. Dana Air plane aborts trip after mid-air collision with bird

A Dana Air aircraft en-route Port Harcourt on Friday morning, made an ‘air return’, some minutes after take-off from Murtala Muhammed Airport II, Lagos. Lagos airport records second accident in 48 hours

Less than 48 hours after an Aero Contractor aircraft was engulfed in smoke while trying to land at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, another accident occurred at the airport on Thursday when two aircraft belonging to Air Peace collided while trying to manoeuvre their way around the tarmac of the local terminal. Nigeria Customs Service on Thursday announced a major re-shuffle of its management, as Comptroller-General, Hameed Ali, approved the immediate redeployment of 48 Comptrollers of the Service.
