Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu and Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) Lawal Daura yesterday engaged in a head-to-head discussion at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

They were sighted holding talks at the forecourt of President Muhammadu Buhari’s office, having earlier joined him for juma’at service at the State House mosque.

Correspondents watched from afar as they were barred from getting close.

The Senate had refused to confirm Magu’s appointment based on a report from the DSS.

Magu and Daura were among those quizzed Thursday by the three-man presidential committee investigating the discovery of $43.4m by the EFCC in a residential apartment at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Those who joined Buhari at the prayer session included Niger State Governor Abubakar Bello, National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno, Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami and Defence Minister Mansur Dan-Ali, among others.
