Benue State House of Assembly on Thursday passed a bill for the prohibition of open grazing and rearing of livestock in the state. The House passed the bill during plenary. Captioned as the “Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishment Law, 2017’’, the bill was passed after the House considered the report of its Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources. JAMB releases results of mock UTME

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it has released results of the Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) conducted on Saturday. Head, Information and Media of the board, Mr Fabian Benjamin, said on Thursday in Lagos that 150,000 candidates registered for the mock examination nationwide. The examination was initially scheduled to hold on April 8 but was postponed to April 29 due to some hitches. A Niger Delta village has filed a lawsuit in Milan against Italian oil company Eni demanding compensation for damage caused by an oil pipeline explosion in 2010, an Italian lawyer representing the village said on Thursday.
