31 victims remain with Edo train station kidnappers as police arrest one suspect

Chris Nehikhare, Edo state commissioner for communication and orientation, says 32 intending passengers were kidnapped at the train station in Igueben, on Saturday. Speaking with journalists on Sunday, Nehikhare said although 32 passengers were initially abducted, one passenger managed to escape. He added that the police have arrested one of the suspects and investigations are currently ongoing. “The kidnap is the most difficult occurrence in the state currently. 35 combatants die as Boko Haram, ISWAP unleash terror on each other in Borno

Gunmen abduct scores from Edo train station, injure many

Barely a year after terrorists attacked a Kaduna-bound train from Abuja, at a place called Katari in Kaduna State, the Edo State Police Command said scores of passengers waiting to board a train from the Igueben station in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State to Warri in Delta State were kidnapped by suspected herdsmen on Saturday evening. DSS reports arrest of ISWAP Commander who bombed Kogi during Buhari’s visit

Department of State Services (DSS) says it has arrested a commander of Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), Abdulmumin Otaru aka Abu Mikdad, in connection with the explosion around the palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in Kogi State. Terrorists kill 4, abduct 100 farmers from Niger state communities over failure to pay levies

Bandits abduct yet another 16 from Kaduna community

Barely 24 hours after the kidnap of 45 residents in Aku Community, bandits have again abducted 16 people in another attack on Angwan Pa community in the same Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
