Chris Nehikhare, Edo state commissioner for communication and orientation, says 32 intending passengers were kidnapped at the train station in Igueben, on Saturday. Speaking with journalists on Sunday, Nehikhare said although 32 passengers were initially abducted, one passenger managed to escape. Department of State Services (DSS) says it has arrested a commander of Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), Abdulmumin Otaru aka Abu Mikdad, in connection with the explosion around the palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in Kogi State. Four police officers have been reportedly killed during an attack on the convoy of Ikedi Ohakim, a former governor of Imo state. The incident was said to have happened on Monday evening at Oriagu in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo state.
