Oshiomhole attacks Obasanjo, Amosun, Okorocha

National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, Wednesday took a swipe at the Imo State Governor, Mr Rochas Okorocha, and his Ogun State counterpart, Mr Ibikunle Amosun, saying a few of APC governors were electoral liabilities. Lagos State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Olawale Oluwo, Wednesday resigned from the State Executive Council, citing anomalies and irregularities that characterised the governorship primaries. 2019: Okorocha’s son-in-law dumps APC

Mr Uche Nwosu, former Chief of Staff to Imo state governor, Mr Rochas Okorocha, has defected from ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to Action Alliance (AA) to pursue his political ambition to be the next state governor. Akeredolu’s senior aides resign, decamp to PDP

Two senior aides of the Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, have resigned their appointments from the government, and decamped to Peoples Democratic Party. They are Mr Benson Enikuomehin, who served as Senior Special Assistant, and Mr Akopebi Lubi, who was a Special Assistant to the governor. Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Cross River State on Monday issued a Certificate of Return to Mrs Stella Nkoro of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as winner of November 17 bye-election into Ikom II State Constituency. Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, Mr Mahmood Yakubu, has said that primaries conducted by the various political parties ahead of 2019 elections are some of the “most acrimonious” in the nation’s history.
