FG to digitalise 80% operations by 2018

At least 80 per cent of all public services will be provided through digital platforms by 2018, the Federal Government has said. Minister of Communications, Mr Adebayo Shittu, disclosed this yesterday at the ongoing 3rd Indo-African ICT Expo 2017 in Lagos. A U.N. report on young Africans who voluntarily joined extremist groups said Thursday that the majority were poor, marginalized and tipped into joining because of perceived government violence or abuse of power. The two-year study by U.N. Development Program found that recruitment to groups in Africa such as Boko Haram and al-Shabab occurred mainly at the local level on a person-to-person basis - not online as in other regions.
