Fayose sacks CPS over Eid el-kabir prayers

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has sacked his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi. A statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Mr Lere Olayinka, said Adelusi was relieved of his duty over “dereliction of duty.” The statement, which was announced on the state-owned radio station, did not explain the specific offence committed by Adelusi. Nigeria Police TV channel takes off November - CEO

The proposed Nigeria Police Broadcasting Service will hit airwaves nationwide beginning from November 28, its Chairman/CEO, Ediri Jerry Wesley has promised. UK pledges $250 million in humanitarian aid for Nigeria

Britain's foreign secretary and aid chief have pledged more than $250 million in humanitarian support for northeastern Nigeria to help build stability after destruction by Boko Haram's extremist insurgency. Buhari in Katsina for Sallah celebrations

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday arrived Katsina on his way to Daura, his hometown, for the Eid-el-Kabir sallah celebration. Buhari landed in Nigerian Air Force Presidential jet 5N-FGT at about 4pm at Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport in Katsina.
