Some beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme put in place by the federal government through Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, have alleged that the commission has abandoned them. The scholars, who craved anonymity, said they had been subjected to unfair and inhuman treatment by the commission since 2016. The affected beneficiaries are Masters and PhD students of Niger Delta origin who won the scholarship awards in 2014 and 2015. President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of a 13-member Governing Board for Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA. There was heavy security presence at the headquarters of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Abuja on Friday. NEMA zonal coordinator dies in hotel room

Management of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, on Friday announced the death of its North-East Zonal Coordinator, Mr Abdulsalam Muhammed. Mr Sani Datti, Head Media and Public Relations, made the announcement in a statement issued in Maiduguri.
