A former head of the Nigerian Army, Mr Victor Malu, a retired lieutenant general, is dead. He was from Benue State. Police personnel of Kaduna State Police Command have carried out a peaceful protest against non-payment of their August and September salaries. Eight Police commands namely: Kaduna, Kebbi Gombe, Nasarawa, Ekiti ,Bayelsa, Imo and Ogun are reportedly owing August and September salaries. The protest, which cut across the rank and file of the command, had over 2,000 protesters who gathered in front of Salaries Office inside the command headquarters.
