Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, on Thursday warned that Nigerians who do not have National Identity Numbers risked imprisonment. He also ruled out lifting ban on issuance of new SIM cards soon. Bandits in the early hours of yesterday invaded a military base in Allawa, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State and killed five soldiers and a mobile policeman. The entire military camp was razed by the bandits who invaded the base at about 2am when soldiers had just returned to the base from area patrol. An air force jet on a support mission in Borno State has dropped out of radar contact. A passenger train smashed into a truck on its tracks and partially derailed outside a rail tunnel along Taiwan’s east coast Friday, killing 34 people and injuring dozens, local police said.
